pumpkinssssssssA pumpkin knocked at my door
I was shocked, I fell to the floor
The pumpkin had a toothless grin
In the end I asked him to come in
The pumpkin shook my hand
And said I knew you’d understand
I wanted to come to your party
I was all alone
With witches and ghosts
They frightened me so
It’s you I’d rather see
Someone warm and bright
On this Halloween night
So what have we got for tea
Trick or treat but…
It will be a whisky for me

I rubbed my eyes

As I jumped out of bed.

Brush your teeth,”

My mother said.

I opened my curtains wide,

I could not believe my eyes.

I saw a very large frog

Absolutely full of spots

Floating.

Or wait!

Could it be a dog?

Is it barking? Or is it croaking?

Then came that voice,

Have you brushed your teeth yet?”

Then the frog stopped and pushed his nose,

Against the glass,

What time is it?” he cried.

I left my watch at my bed side.”

My mother then ran up the stairs

I waved goodbye to spotty frog,

He started barking like a dog.

It sounded very much like,

Have you brushed your teeth yet?”

I walk to find

A peace of mind

By the water’s edge,

River bursting from the rain

Still it looks the same

White feathered friends

Swim by my side

Silently they glide

Peaceful creatures,

Creating ripples of calm

A window of still life

Walking by the waters side

A gust of wind now picks up my hair,

I’m in a place where I really don’t care

We should all take the time

To go somewhere tranquil

To a beautiful place

Avoiding the human race

Leaving it all behind

Just to find a peace of mind

monkeymmmmmmmmmmm

book mouse

pink hat

Molly the mouse was walking to school with Cheeky Monkey
When the wind blew off her hat into a tree,
“I will get it I will get your hat for you”
Without further ado
Cheeky Monkey chased the hat it blew into the middle of the road
Molly looked worried she knew how dangerous the road can be
“No! No! She shouted look at all the traffic can’t you see?
“You must wait at the crossroads for the little green man to appear.”
Cheeky Monkey just ran and ran he didn’t listen, the hat was near
Molly waited for his safe return
She knew Cheeky Monkey didn’t listen to her concerns
All Molly could do was sit and watch
Her brave friend weave and dodge
The traffic in his plight to capture her hat
Molly just wanted her friend back
That is why it is always best
To use the green cross code
You will always be safe on the roads

You stole our hearts

With the love you gave

You loved the rewards

When you had behaved

You was our company

For years of many

You was our best friend

Right to the end

We saw you as family

You always protected us

You never once complained

When you was in pain

We will always miss you so

So sorry to let you go

There’s a strange man

In my garden

With top hat and tails

He is looking rather pale

He’s been standing there

For some time now

Just standing and staring

And looking all around

He very often smiles

But doesn’t often frown

The squirrels and the fox’s

All adore him

As they pass by

He lifts his hand

To wave at them

And smiles to say goodnight

You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.” ― Octavia E. Butler
