I gave you some crayons

To create your own space

But you decided to invade

My own personal place

You scribbled and tortured

all of my walls

If only your design

Was like Niagara Falls

But all you do is

Destroy my walls

Can’t you create a

Mona Lisa

Or even

The tower of Pisa

If I take your crayons away

What will happen today

Will you take out your paints

And decorate my place

To look like no – ones ever seen

Pretend you are Leonardo Da Vince

Sit quietly and paint my face

pumpkinssssssssA pumpkin knocked at my door
I was shocked, I fell to the floor
The pumpkin had a toothless grin
In the end I asked him to come in
The pumpkin shook my hand
And said I knew you’d understand
I wanted to come to your party
I was all alone
With witches and ghosts
They frightened me so
It’s you I’d rather see
Someone warm and bright
On this Halloween night
So what have we got for tea
Trick or treat but…
It will be a whisky for me

scarcrow

Whilst the lilies blaze

In the summer rays

The butterflies dance

In their summer romance

The robin awaits

The fresh worms to escape

From the ground

They tease,until they are found

Where gardeners sow

Fresh veg to grow

Potatoes,leeks and marrow

The scarecrow stands so proud

Thankful for the sunshine now

He watches with an evil eye

When the birds reluctantly pass by

Roses parade along the fence

Flirting with the bees,

Soaking up their heavy scent

Capturing the moment

Of this summer scene

Easter service

Easter eggs galore

Some for the rich

Some for the poor

Eat our lunch

Then off to pray

Thanking God

For a wonderful day

Time to relax

Time to enjoy

Our festive break

Watch TV

Family around

Get out the eggs

Indulge and enjoy

The company of our friends

Then off to pray

Once more

Thanking God

For a wonderful day

skip

Love is…

Dancing through the daffodils

Skipping with the lambs

Love is many things

Love is…

Finding that spring in your step

When your heart is leaping

Wherever you may tread

Love is…

Feeling that burning desire

Being with the one you love

To set your emotions on fire

Love is…

That unique feeling

That unique bond

Knowing you belong

Love is…

Picnics in the park

Being together

Underneath the stars

Love is…

Emotion you may discover

Happiness or sadness

Love is a roller-coaster

Love is an experience

To cherish like no other

Jan 1 (5)

I walk to find

A peace of mind

By the water’s edge,

River bursting from the rain

Still it looks the same

White feathered friends

Swim by my side

Silently they glide

Peaceful creatures,

Creating ripples of calm

A window of still life

Walking by the waters side

A gust of wind now picks up my hair,

I’m in a place where I really don’t care

We should all take the time

To go somewhere tranquil

To a beautiful place

Avoiding the human race

Leaving it all behind

Just to find a peace of mind

monters

It all happens when I go to bed

Weird things enter my head

I visit some very strange places

I see animals with very weird faces

In one of my weirdest dreams

I saw a snake eating ice cream

Although I must admit

It’s better than having to babysit

My weird little sis

whilst my dad goes to the pub

And drags along my mum

When I babysit

I don not recognise my sister

She changes into something else

She wears wigs she collects on her shelf

She pretends to be a film star

Riding around in a fancy car

Although I must admit

I’d rather do that than babysit

She really drove me up the wall

When her friend decided to call

Dad had said let no-one through the door

Or he’d said “There will be war”

So when the doorbell rang

Then came a bang! Bang! Bang!

I rushed upstairs to bury my head

Under the pillow on my bed

Before I knew I’d fallen asleep

I’d entered a forest, so deep

Then before my very eyes

I saw to my surprise

Mum and dad going to war

With the largest dinosaur

Then I saw the very same snake

But this time he was eating a cream cake

Then I heard a bang! bang! Bang!

Someone hovered over me

It was my dad

pink hat

Molly the mouse was walking to school with Cheeky Monkey
When the wind blew off her hat into a tree,
“I will get it I will get your hat for you”
Without further ado
Cheeky Monkey chased the hat it blew into the middle of the road
Molly looked worried she knew how dangerous the road can be
“No! No! She shouted look at all the traffic can’t you see?
“You must wait at the crossroads for the little green man to appear.”
Cheeky Monkey just ran and ran he didn’t listen, the hat was near
Molly waited for his safe return
She knew Cheeky Monkey didn’t listen to her concerns
All Molly could do was sit and watch
Her brave friend weave and dodge
The traffic in his plight to capture her hat
Molly just wanted her friend back
That is why it is always best
To use the green cross code
You will always be safe on the roads

seagullsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The wind blows on cliffs so high

All you can hear is the seagulls cry

The crashing waves

Echoes in the smugglers caves

Children walking on the cobbled beach

You can hear the crunching

Beneath their feet

Fisherman trawling

Crabs are crawling

To escape

The fisherman’s bait

The sea is rolling waves so high

All you can hear is the seagulls cry

They sit and wait for the fisherman’s trawl

On Hastings cobbled beach at early dawn

You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.” ― Octavia E. Butler
