Thank you for following my bloggy-space. And manners–yes! We certainly need to get back to them. We have tried to teach my son (who has special needs) how to have good manners; all seemed to be going swimmingly until he hit about 16 years old…the struggle continues 😉
Thank you for the reblog! I love the idea of your page, and I, too share many of your ‘old fashioned’ ideas about manners. They are so important to teach to children. I would love to read something about the evolution of manners to embody the news ways that we socialize through the internet and social media. Thanks again and I look forward to reading more 🙂

This is much needed, sadly.
Thank you so much for following my blog – it is much appreciated! I have to agree, manners are very important – I think it’s all about respect. Lack of respect for others is probably one of the biggest causes of all the rotten stuff that goes on in the world…teach little Johnny to say Thank you once in a while and not be mean to other kids and maybe he won’t grow up thinking he owns the world…maybe! Anyway, thanks again 🙂
Thank you so much for the like and the follow. I very much enjoy your site and think it is much needed.
Thank you for the like and follow! Feeling pretty chuffed to have such an accomplished blogger like my post, means a lot!
Thanks for following my blog. I truly appreciate what you have here. Life is very much about respect and manners and the sooner we teach are children, the better. Thanks again!
What a wonderful resource you are providing! God’s blessings as you continue to encourage us all to be mannerly in word and speech to all we encounter. Thanks for the following “What’s the Good Word?”

Thanks for the visit and the follow! I look forward to reading more on manners. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I agree that manners are important, and although my girls are almost grown up, I’ve tried to instill in them the value of good manners. I was very proud of my high school senior the other day when she produced a list of 10 teachers that she is going to write a personal thank you note to, going all the way back to her freshman year. The fact that she is doing that equals a proud mom moment for me…
Nice to hear this. Thanks for visiting.
Thank you for the follow! I hope you will not be disappointed. Great idea for a blog!
I Like your standards: right up my alley or down my beach! Thank you for your follow, check in often. http://sunkist2.wordpress.com ~Ron

I appreciate your follow of my blog! How lovely that there are people who support appropriate behaviors, i.e., good manners and courtesy, or what my parents called “being civilized.”. There is a time and place for a variety of responses to events and ideas but a foundation of manners surely helps. This is too long-neglected in our western world. I will enjoy your blog.
Very interesting blog! Keep up the nice work!

Thanks for stopping by “peacefulpromises” & for the follow. I’ll be sure to pop in and see if my manners are in check!
Thank you for following my blog. Your blog is a great idea. Can’t tell you how grossed-out I’ve been in restaurants by people with disgusting table manners. It’s bad enough that people don’t know how to hold their utensils correctly but putting their face, virtually in their plate, in order to shovel the food into their mouth, has on occasions made me gag! Please check out my post called, “Purpose of Polite Society”, I’m sure you’ll find it interesting.
Thanks for the info I’ve copied this one hope you don’t mind.
Where were my manners? We should have thanked you sooner. We appreciate you as a reader of the 4feet2mouths travel & food blog.

A blog about manners! How refreshing! Thanks for dropping by Here There and Everywhere 🙂
I am working with our three year old grandson on elementary manners. Have you read any (very old fashoned) Gelett Burgess and his Goops? Three years old LOVES the Goops:
The Goops – they lick their fingers,
and the Goops – they lick their knives!
They spill their broth on the tablecloth –
Oh they lead disgusting lives.
They often talk while eating,
And loud and fast they chew –
And that is why I’m glad that I
Am not a Goop – are you?
Thanks for following my blog!
Thank you very much for stopping by Pippi Gift. I admire your posts 🙂

Hello, allaboutmanners,
I want to say thanks for following me at http://www.oldspouse.wordpress.com.
Let me add that if you enjoy my “This Old Spouse” column, I think you will love this:
http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/354657
It’s a terrifying story called The Oklo Device.
At the bottom of the smashwords page you’ll see a link labeled “View.” Take a look at the story; see if you get hooked. If you like the story, e-mail me at roger.white@tasb.org, and I’ll send you the rest. If you enjoy what you read, please share with others. This is the only way good things happen today–agents and publishers are of the dinosaur era. They’re slow; they’re frightened; and they’ll eat you if you’re not careful. We’re on our own. I truly believe in this book. If you do, too, share it with someone. Thank you!
And thank you so much, again, for being one of the faithful.
Best regards,
Roger White

Thanks for following my blog, I appreciate it. ‘Manners maketh man’, I bet William of Wykeham didn’t realise then the relevance of his words, even in today’s society! Manners for me are an absolute must, shame that for some they have become forgotten, and labelled as antiquated. Great blog. Bex
Thank you so much for following BigBodyBeautiful, my new friend. I could not agree with you more. Manners are so important and largely missing these days. This is a great blog you have here. I look forward to reading and exploring more of it. Big, warm hugs, BigLizzy

Hello, allaboumanners. How incredibly refreshing to find someone online who still cares about common courtesy and simple respect for other human beings. I may be reblogging some of your stuff.

Thanks for visiting my blog and best of luck with yours. As a former school principal it warms my heart to know that there are folks still valuing and promoting good manners!
Wow! Manners are a hot topic. Of the 233 comments there are maybe only a couple of people who did not shower Thank Yous. Impressive. This has gotta feel good. What if an impolite impostor showed up, sour and not sharing your sentiments? How would you respond? Also, just because someone says it, how do you know they mean it? Don’t you think politeness is more than just words? Who are better converts children or adults? Also are you a current or former school principal? Just wondering. One time I gifted an antique vintage book of Manners and Etiquette to a principal, hoping she would display it a window that faces out into the hall as a reminder for all, (mostly me) to be good. It worked for a while. Then the book disappeared and I fell back into my bad habits. Is there hope for me? 🙂 I am thinking you should develop a free e-book for children, or an Ipad application and make some money. Just ideas. I could be way off base.
Good to hear from you and thanks for the comment,it was really very interesting.
I have published a children’s book on manners.
It is a poetry book, will be available soon at Waterstones shop, already on Waterstones website.

Is asking too many questions impolite? Thanks.
Thank you for your kind follow. I regret that I cannot reciprocate due to a deluge of WordPress email alerts at present. (623 new ones awaited me on my return from work this afternoon.)
I do indeed like the theme for your blog. My compliments on your promotion of this essential aspect to civility.
Thank you for following my blog http://www.curiositycafe.wordpress.com, your connection is much appreciated. I am enjoying watching my own children teach their children good manners.
ps I am commenting using my other blog, rainbowspinnaker, because my iPad app does not seem to be able to give me a gravitar for curiositycafe.
Thank you for following me at Triggershorse. I love your blog, and as the grandmother of two delightfully well-mannered (most of the time, at least) little girls, I appreciate it! – Fawn

Thank you for stopping by my site…as it led me to yours 🙂 It looks as if you have wonderful content and I’m looking forward to not only exploring more, but your future posts as well!
What a terrific idea for a blog! Wish I could have flagged it for the group of young mothers at a cafe this morning who were letting their kids own the entire eatery. Ah – those indulgent smiles as little Cody/Destinee/Beckham stomped up and down the bench seats, yelling for our collective entertainment. These small breaches of etiquette mount up over the years until the child learns to respect nothing except their own sense of entitlement.
What a great idea for a blog. Manners – so simple, yet so often overlooked. Looking forward to following. Speaking of manners, thank you for stopping by my blog, and thank you for the follow.
Thank you for following my blog! It took my 3 seconds to love your blog…as soon as I saw Roald Dahl featured I was hooked.Everything he has written is genius.

You can change “Just another WordPress.com site” underneath your headline “allaboutmanners”.
In your Dashboard/Settings/General/Tagline. Just change the tagline ! What to put there ? That is the question 😀

Hi, thanks so much for following my blog (The Reluctant Retiree). I have been travelling and only now catching up with comments, so many apologies for the delay. Love the concept of yours. It puts me in mind of the gem of a book on etiquette I have at home – “Don’t.” (a manual of mistakes). First published in the 1880s, mine must be updated around 1930. I wonder if you have ever come across it? It is a great read!
Hey there! Thank you for stopping by my blog and liking my post 🙂
You have a wonderful blog here, I will read more of it as soon as I have the time 🙂
Just to say thank you for your kind visit and follow of my blog. I shall look forward to returning to learn more about your own soon.

And another thank you–for following my blog. A thank you is a sign of manners–right? But in this case, it’s more than that, I’ve really enjoyed my perusal of your posts and photos. So, thanks again for introducing me to them–and Happy Holidays from me and my senior advisors at Help! Aging Parents.
I’d like to thank you for Following my blog; On another note, I love the name of your blog and it makes me relieved after a lady tried to crap over my lawn (in this case, my lawn being my primary blog) with rude comments.
Thank you to follow my blog. Hope you enjoy my poetry 🙂
