Oh my – what the world needs now – I really like the one by Emily Post. If we only were more sensitive to each other much of the violence would vanish. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
just thought i’d visit a bit to thank you for liking my poem ‘whole’ on 20 Lines today, all the love shown sent that poem to the top of my ‘your favorites’ list on my blog and that’s never happened before in 2 days. 🙂
so ty again.
Great collection, better than Manners 101. I noticed that Fred Astaire looks at the world the same way I see it these days. This blog definitely fills a need and I have it bookmarked (of the blogs I follow I miss way too many issues due to lack of time).
These are great! I will not only be printing them out for our home to encourage my kiddo, but I’d like to share this on my blog if you don’t mind. I do a weekly round up of links I really enjoy and I’d like to add yours to it. 🙂
Thanks for liking and following my blog! I look forward to reading yours on a regular basis.
Brilliant! Especially Fred Astaire’s quote.
I like many of these! Good reminders that manners aren’t all about social niceties, but about being aware of and courteous of others.
These are wonderful-I too loved Mr. Astaire’s quote-
Thank you for the kind remarks about the RESUME. I will be posting 4-5 more. I did them in the mid-eighties, and published them in a monthly bulletin called the “Xukorian.” At the time the name Xukor, pronounced (Z00kor) was very well known in Atlanta and we had received loads of gratis publicity. The people I sold the business to lost of of that, and just focused on the commodity (little profit)side, and lost out on all the value added, and went bankrupt. C’la vie.
Apropos the manners and your quotes: I was blessed to have two parents who insisted my sister and me live by a high standard of “good manners.” Maybe some of the readers will pass them on to some your parents. My daughter is doing the same for here three, but my has forgotten all he was taught, and his two reflect it. Sad! But true.
Thanks for your comment.

Someone once told me, good manners show grace. Carl Sagan’s quote above reminded me of that, ‘Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others.’ Thanks for the blog follow, very happy to have found you! 🙂
