A great way to add new ornaments to your Christmas tree each year is to create some home-made ones with your children.
With younger children, keep things simple by cutting out Christmas theme shapes (e.g. stars, gingerbread men) on cardboard and then decorate with stickers, glitter etc. You can also make hand prints on cardboard and then cut them out. To hang up your cardboard ornaments, simply tape a little loop of wool or string to the back of the artwork.
With older children, there are a range of DIY ornament kits in arts and crafts shops leading up to Christmas. You can also purchase unpainted glass baubles that you can paint and decorate at home.
